The Deep Freeze, and who is this?

For Strange! I thought I heard a "kitty commotion" in the night, that is why I sleep with the bedroom door closed. Too many nights of Tidbit howling and the cats rustling about, not getting enough sleep made me try keeping the bedroom door closed and it has helped a lot. My buddies left last night about 9:30, I read a little and then went to bed with Scooter. Other than a bit of cat noise, I slept perfectly until about 4 when I woke up to use the bathroom. Yikes, I opened the bedroom door to the deep freeze. Half asleep, I went into the living room and the front door was open. Cold was taking over the
house. What was going on? I closed the door
tightly, turned on the light and caught a glimpse of something streaking to the kitchen. I went to the kitchen and saw something streak down to the basement. Somehow, the cats, probably Tidbit and this partner, had opened the front door. There was this black and white cat in the house, visiting with Mouse, Tanners and Tidbit. All were together in the living room when I awoke having a meeting of some sort. How strange is that? I went downstairs with gloves on and found this mysterious visitor under the shelves. I gently pulled it out, talked to it nice and put it back outside. How can cats open doors? Why did they let this strange cat inside? Too weird.

A new habit will have to be put into place. I'll have to lock the doors when I leave, and lock the door when I go to bed. I can already see some issues as I get used to carrying my house key with me and remembering to lock when I go somewhere.

The furnace is working to warm the house back up and my chair is chilly as I write this. I'm glad I'm on the "budget plan" with natural gas.

I'll post more later, but I doubt it could ever get stranger than this

Until then Peace!
