More animal visitors and Violets

I slept great last night with Scooter, no interruptions, no intruders. I am now keeping the front door locked. After a hearty breakfast, we went to Home Depot to get more Divine Pleasures paint for the bedroom and some plaster patch. They had nice violets on sale. I figured I could use a little blossoming in the home so bought one and put it in a nice pot. I looked out the kitchen window, and WOW, a full grown St. Bernard and a big spaniel of some kind were romping in the back yard. I should have taken a picture while they were back there, but was in a bit of shock. I let them out the gate and away they ran. I've never seen either dog before, and I
hope they make it to their home okay.

I got a very nice phone call a few moments ago. Mark, my "Meat Man" from Super One grocery store called. He invited me to supper at Applebee's, his treat. How cool is that? I was just in the store and bought a couple steaks and some ribs and was deciding on what I was going to have for dinner. Now I'll probably save the ribs for Super Sunday, and have a couple buddies over, and have the steak(s) another day. This was a surprise out of the blue, and it is nice to find out that sometimes we make friends without really knowing it.

I'm happy to be inspired to work on the bedroom and will patch a few holes in the walls today. This painting job will not be a small one, the ceiling must also be washed with TSP and prepped for ceiling white, then probably 2 coats of paint on the walls, and it is a fairly large room. Good time of year for a project like this though... keeps my mind off Spring, Kayaking and Camping.
I am so anxious to go camping and will try to get to a State Park with Scooter at least every other week. I even go down to the basement and look longingly at the camping gear stowed on shelves.

I'll post more later with pictures if anything of interest happens today.

Until later.... Peace!
