Mischief Accomplished!

Except for the wind, it has been a glorious day so far. I got up, had breakfast and went for a visit to plant 2 nice bunches of red stalked rhubarb I had gotten from a neighbor. Having gotten dirt on my hands, I did not want to stop so went to Home Depot and then Wal-Mart to get some more stuff for the garden.. geesh, slim pickens. I did score some decent looking tomato plants, jalapenos, sweet banana peppers, bell peppers, more rosemary (can never have enough rosemary) and some sweet basil. As wave after wave of wind brought in some may-fly looking bugs, I mixed up some Miracle Gro and cut the bottoms off old
coffee cans to protect the plantings. Whallah!
Scooter and Charlie kept me good company while I worked the garden, and I planted another row of green beans. It has gotten a bit calmer and clouds are rolling in, maybe a thunderstorm or rain tonight. That will do the garden good for sure.

Funny thing this morning, there was a big mud turtle in Chells driveway, I saw it as he was backing out. I stopped him just in time and picked up the 9 incher. It must have been trying to get to the river, so I put it into a box and let it go into the Mississippi (that had whitecaps).

Score one for Karma!

Meeting tonight and visiting after.. good times!

Until next time... Peace!
