Season's Greetings to Family and Friends!

Mr. Kitty, the Boss, the Head-Cheese, the Commissioner, does not know he is a cat. He behaves more like a dog. He stalks the other cats, plays differently than other cats, is very curious and silly. Here he is sitting flat on his butt with his front paws over the rail under the kitchen table like he is at a lunch counter.... what a nut!

Scooter and Charlie are cozy, removing the stuffing from an old toy.... they look like "what?.... it wasn't us". They have such dexterity with their paws and teeth, it is sometimes difficult to find the hole in the seam they make to pull out the fluff. Happy, happy pets!

Happy, Happy Us too!.... the wonderful Holiday Season is here and we are filled with Joy and Love. Tonight is "dance lessons" at the Eagles. We will practice what we have learned as we dance around the floor, and then learn a few new moves... look out Astaire and Rogers!

Today I am making a wonderful Norwegian yellow pea and ham chowder for supper. We bought the peas at a church bazaar Sunday, and this is perfect weather for a hearty soup supper. I am baking bread this morning too with oatmeal, cornmeal and rye. It will go great with the meal.

Life's simple pleasures are the best. It is really fun to have this blog, sharing this journal with family and friends, many distant now, and know that it is enjoyed by them. That is the reason I post here. Daughter Katie in Alaska, loves seeing the pets and following our fun daily adventures, for instance. Son Charlie, also in college, keeps in close touch this way too. Sometimes because of the post title, searches bring visitors from around the world. When I posted about my new Specialized bicycle, for one, I had viewers from Europe that had Googled "Specialized Elite", fun stuff!

With the 'visitor statistics counter' came a tool.... We can see where my blog viewers are located, who they are, the search phrase used to find my blog (like "Marty Freeman Brainerd"), their IP address and more information. It is unfortunate that there are some return visitors, ("viewers" to be polite), that daily (often many times a day), come on to nothing more than snoop at what we are doing... how terribly sad this is. Without any acknowledgment, comments or contact from them, we can only hope that OUR fun, Guided lives of Love and adventure, somehow is filling the emptiness that they must have in their lonesome and dishonesty laden existence...there is no other way to put it. "there are such unfortunates"

May the Blessings of the Season grow as Christmas approaches, may your lives be filled with the Joy and Peace that we have found in Him, may you use the Serenity Prayer often, in what must be your many personal struggles and times of difficulty.

Peace!
