Gotta Go When There's The Snow!

Can you tell I'm a little cold?... not too cold, but my nose was feeling chilled. Maybe about 12 degrees and bright sunlight, it was a great day on the trail. Careful running to get to the trail, narrow path on the shoulder of the road, but the trail, although not thick with snow, had been recently groomed. We headed south out of Brainerd and went in the direction of Crow Wing State Park.

Along the way we saw a bunch of deer hopping across in front of us, and a small flock (maybe 8) wild turkeys wandering in the woods.

The maps and signs kept us from getting lost, and the trail loop along the Mississippi was absolutely gorgeous and was where we had hiked a couple times last Summer and Fall.

We had a great time and took turns driving.... fun indeed!

The sunlight is strong here and is melting snow and ice even when the temperature is well below freezing... some shaded intersections and streets are pretty thick with black, perma-ice.

We'll probably go for a hike this afternoon and enjoy the late sunlight. Always something fun to do together....

Caught in between seasons again, hoping for more winter snow and weather to cozy in and hibernate, a few more snowmobile rides, and the thoughts of Spring and all the new things to do outside... It will be great to take Scooter and Charlie down the block to the park and let them run!

A good weekend coming up, a few plans and lots of time to relax... gonna be great!

So much Fun, so much Life, so much Love!

Peace!
