The woods back of our yard is a small lake now. Walking in the back yard is like walking on a sponge, and the doggies do not like it. They kind of prance, high legged, do their thing and want to come back inside.... can't blame them.
We are hoping that all this water, somehow, will find it's way downhill, into the streets and sewers, the culverts and creeks and to the Mississippi to flow away before it soaks into the ground too
The birds are sure singing about it though. Cardinals, chickadees, blue jays and crows all in the trees making noise.... all anxious for nesting and Spring.
Coffee sure tastes good this morning, taking the chill off and starting the day. We had a real Minnesota supper last night, Scottish oatcakes and bacon... perfect for cozying in.
Some of today will be spent at the "old place", taking out most of the last things, clearing out
We've got some really fun plans for Spring projects here at home. Peggy is excited for a new back door, back entrance, steps and small deck, and painting the kitchen. Awesome cool! When done, it will be great to use a new back entrance to let the dogs out, right into the fenced back yard, and a place to sit and have our coffee and treats. It's great to have ideas and be able to talk about and picture what it is going to be like.... I'm thinking about a bay window for the living room too.
New season, new life always, new ideas and new fun here in foggy Brainerd today.
New Blessings and Guidance too, as we grow in Love.
Peace!
