I got up this morning and let Scooter out to do his thing. He flew out and in so fast, wanting to get back into the cozy bed. I punched up weather online. It is minus 19! I didn't think it was going to get nearly that cold. We are headed to a high of 19 above this afternoon. A 39 degree raising of temperature... awesome. The forecast is for clouds, so I don't know if I can get a photo of the crescent moon and star that I saw last night but I'll keep checking, it really is beautiful.I've got a pot-luck dinner tonight, and I think I'll make a Curried Wild Rice Salad with toasted walnuts, sliced green grapes and tart apples. It will be nice to have a meal with friends. And mmmm, does it smell earthy and good in the house now as I cook the wild rice.
Time to have some thick hearty toast and start putzing around the house with plaster patch, laundry and other stuff.
More later as this frigid morning brings a warmer day.
