I don't like to always start with a weather report, but it does dictate a lot of daily activities here in Brainerd. It will warm up to about 18 today, but the ground will still be brutally cold for Scooters feet. I'll put on his parka when he goes out to potty. I work today just from noon til 4, a nice short shift to break up the day. I got my first paycheck yesterday... Sah-weet! It will be so nice to have this "extra jingle" to help with the bills and stuff. We went to a great speakers meeting last night at 8 and again, the message was very good. Everyone has a different life story, but in many ways, the story is the same. Makes my day after every meeting to understand that while I'm wired differently, I am not such a "strange duck".
As soon as I'm done posting this morning, I'm going to make a big bowl of bread crumbs, tossed with melted peanut butter to put out for the birds. The cardinals are whistling and there is a crowd of hungry sparrows waiting. The bluejays will come and take plenty to stash too.
The sliver of a moon last night was beautiful with Venus shining brightly off to the right of it in the clear sky. I'll try to take a picture of it tonight to post... it looks like a flag symbol for some far away land.
I'll post more later...
And until I do... Peace!
