Nice, slept like a rock. The meeting last night was very good.... an interesting speaker and good friends. Again, I felt so lucky for my position and experiences, so watched over and protected as I ran rampant through life. The Bruce Springsteen lyrics "at night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet and a freight train running through the middle of my head" no longer apply.
I got up at 6:30 and did my readings. I've got a good loaf of bread going in the machine with oatmeal, cornmeal, graham flour and ground flax seed and it smells yeasty and good as it raises. I didn't get to my shopping yesterday, I felt much too relaxed and good. Today I'll make a store run and pick up groceries and cleaning supplies, even going to indulge and get some good bird seed to put out. I'm also going to pick out some houseplants to pot and brighten up the house with greenery.
Later I am going to bake a special yellow cake with a toasted coconut frosting... the best recipe I've got for a cake, found in the USA news magazine in the Sunday paper several months ago. The frosting is so decadent, made by cooking down "Magic Milk" and butter.... good for celebrating the weekend, I'll bake the coconut until lightly brown and mix it in, then pour over the bundt cake. Mmmmm! I'll post a picture of it.
My life feels full of goodness and love. It is amazing how clear my path is now, realizing (actually being shown and told by a Much Higher Power) that I've been only fooling myself the last few years. Clear, guided thinking is taking hold of my existence as I learn to go slower and feel the power of good. What an incredible process.
Tomorrow is Church and hopefully a sunny first picnic at Crow Wing State Park.... outside snacks and some good hiking. We've got to kick off this Spring time feeling!
I'll post more later with pictures of this Saturday in Brainerd.
Peace!
