Mount Redoubt, the Alaskan volcano has erupted again, this time spewing ash and smoke 12 miles up into the air. Everyone, keep Katie and all Alaskan residents in your prayers. What a story. So far, the ash fall area is again north and west of Anchorage and Palmer (where Katie lives)
Beautiful, fluffy, white dusting last night. Almost hard to look outside in the Sun, it is so bright. I had a great night last night, delicious hotdish meal, then got ready for a meeting. I had to keep my eye on Scooter because he might have had a reaction to the vaccinations. He stayed frisky and cozy, and I couldn't tell he had any medicines. So off to the meeting I went. It was again excellent, a familiar story was the topic, and we all shared what was relative to us. What a great reminder of all that I have to be thankful for and how I must keep growing.
I brought some hotdish over to Sweety for her dinner.... she had a busy day off, cleaning and putzing around her house and deserved a delivered meal. So nice to talk and share, realizing where we are at in our lives.
I've got the day off again, tomorrow I'll work in receiving dept. I had an excellent nights sleep and feel energized for a busy day of putzing around the house.
I have again been asked to be Chef Marty at April's "Girl's Night Out". A French Romantic menu is in the works for this event. 6 delicious items will be available for sampling as we showcase the wonderful Jenn-air Kitchen. From Madelines with Marscapone and Poached Figs, Glorified Rice, Monte Cristo Sandwiches with Strawberry/Sour Cream Dip, to Creamed Beans Francais.
It will be a fun and easy menu. It's great to have these ideas come to mind and keep in "Culinary Condition".
I may post later, we'll see.....
Peace!
