Yesterday was a nice hazy blur. I went to the 10 am meeting and really enjoyed the spiritual start to the day. It was a large group with good stories and feelings expressed. Again, leaving it, I felt grateful and recharged. I felt the need to roam some, so came home and got Scooter for a little road trip. We drove to Merrifield and visited the antique store there. I was looking for some kind of framed picture or print for the home. Nothing jumped out at me, unfortunately, I want something Earthy, representing Minnesota somehow, or wildlife, and they did not have anything like that. There was a young girl with her mother in the store, so I went out to the van and got Scooter for her to visit with. He hung in my arms while the talk turned to dogs and made for a very nice visit. We then drove back to Brainerd, and I went into a downtown antique store. Nothing there for my walls either, but it was nice to get out and just putz.
We came home and after a good lunch of leftover Jamaican Meatballs, went for a long walk. Through town, the park, along the Mississippi and into the waterworks some, we listened to geese, scolding bluejays and other chipping birds, as we walked and I talked. So nice to smell the fresh Spring air.
I was relaxed, not bored, and just slowly picked up the kitchen, sipped coffee and did more reading and other bits of nothingness... I did manage to do one load of laundry.
A simple supper of cheese, rye krisp and pickles for supper was perfect. Nothing on TV interested me so I went to bed at 8:30.... what a Saturday night! I laid, feeling good and thankful for a relaxing day, and fell asleep at 9. I woke up at 5:40 refreshed and ready for a good Sunday. Church, a Lenten Fair after, then home. I do work a short shift this afternoon on the floor to cover breaks and lunches for others, I think. It will be a good time, and the added hours will help with the van repair bill.
I'm not sure what I'm up for or what will happen today in Brainerd, but I'm looking forward to Sweety coming home from her family visit tonight. I'm thinking something will be of interest to photo and post later today though.
Until I do, Springtime Peace and more Peace!
