There it goes again, this time 50,000 feet in the air. Mount Redoubt erupted. The ash cloud is supposed to miss Anchorage and its surrounding area thankfully.It was sunny here for an hour or more, and Scooter and I went for a long walk to enjoy the Spring air. Glad I had a good breakfast. I came home from my meeting and wanted eggs... I had no eggs. I then thought of a bowl of cereal.... I had a carton of bad milk. I thought well, I'll have toast and oj.... I only had a 1/2 glass of oj. So off to Cub Foods I went with Scooter as co-pilot. The store was very busy for a Saturday morning I thought, and I did run into a buddy to chat with for a while... nice. I came home even hungrier and made a big egg and cheese burrito, a big glass of oj and my vitamins... all set for a walk when it warmed up.
We'll see what else happens tonight, keep Alaska residents in your prayers. The last time Redoubt was active, it erupted off and on for more than 2 months.

Off and on again for 5 months, Dad! Eeeesh, not looking forward to that!
Don't worry about us. There's nothing in my area that can affect us too terribly. Tarps, eye-goggles, safety masks and lots of water are all in store should there be a dusting of ash, but we haven't gotten one speck here yet, and she's gone off 17 times in the last week!

Also, had a great day of paddling and am now back home eating eggs, salmon, sundried tomatoes, Tiger sauce and sweet chili sauce all wrapped up in a burrito.. Great minds think alike!
