Sunday is always a good day

Nice nights sleep, I didn't make it through the news.... when they began talking of a "Blizzard Watch" for South Dakota, I decided to go to bed. Waking up at 6, coffee is brewing and smells fabulous. I'll have a nice breakfast and get ready for 8:15 church. Today is the last "new member" class. All new members will be "installed" officially on April 5th. Very nice church.

I work a short shift this afternoon, and it will be good to be on the sales floor. The sun is supposed to be shining all day, and I'm already looking forward to a good long walk. Come April, I'll begin "jogging" and see how that goes. I've been breaking in my new shoes walking, and feel ready to start running slow for a mile or so and get my hips and legs loosened up and stronger for the season. Clear out the "winter air" from my lungs and body, so to speak.

So much to look forward to as the Spring weather gets better and better. Clearing out the dead stuff from the gardens will make the new sprouts of perennials more visible and encouraging. Then comes breaking up and turning the vegetable garden soil to work in the coffee grounds and loosen it for planting in May. I went out yesterday and tried to pull out some old weeds and grass that had crept into the gardens, and the dirt is still frozen solid. I was actually hoping to see the tops of the rhubarb trying to poke up, but not yet. I do love rhubarb.

We'll see what happens today and this evening here in Brainerd, and maybe post more later.

Peace!
