A Robin Serenade and a Finch Frenzy

Wow, the songs are streaming, over and over. As soon as there was a sliver of sunlight, it began. The robins are singing a long melody continuously. I had to just stand on the front steps and listen for a while. About 4 or more are participating.... maybe all the rain is making it possible to find worms or bugs? I filled the feeders and put out breadcrumbs and got a flock of waiting finches, 3 kinds I think.

I feel good and energized after a long deep sleep. Today is a day off, and except for bringing Scooter to the Vet. for annual vaccinations and a check-up, I've got no plans. I'm in the mood for a good hotdish of some kind, and will cook up some pasta and start a sauce this morning to assemble later and bake with a cheesy topping of some sort. Perfect dinner plans for what has been an awesome few days of rain. I don't know how much rain we've gotten here, but it must be inches. The temperatures are dropping and we may get some flurries later, but the river is rising and there are local flood alerts. Glad I live on top of a hill!

I'll post more later, I hope with pictures, of something good later..

Until I do, Peace and More Peace, of course!
