AHhhh! these are more like it!

I used my amended recipe and baked another batch of Madelines. These are much better in that they did not puff up or get spongy. They will crisp up a tad more as they rest now... I did taste one and they are delicious. I got 35 cookies out of this recipe rather than 27 for the last, so they are a better value for the quantity needed for the big event.

Went to the Super One and got a few needed items for meals, snacks and baking.... the store was unbelievably busy for a Monday morning I thought. I've putzed around, doing laundry and keeping the kitchen picked up as I go....

It has been very breezy today, 36 degrees, but feels much cooler. The bright sunshine is more than welcome though. Scooter sure loves his walks. I'll take a few pictures of the Kayak meeting and dinner this evening to share tomorrow. For now, some more reading and paperwork.... feels good.

This writing is from Katie's Alaskan Adventure blog, she took it from a book and then commented. I feel it is appropriate for today: from "The Raft is not the Shore"
[that] great humans bring with them something like a hallowed atmosphere, and when we seek them out, then we feel peace, and we feel love, we feel courage." she added, "what a beautiful way to live, to be sought out, to give, to love."

Springtime Peace Laced with Hope, Sweet as these cookies.
