Gardens, Sunshine and Scooter

So nice to get off work today and see Spring. I drove through the park on the way home, and there were couples and families picnicking. It is only 46, but people are sure anxious for the Sun and outdoor fun.

Scooter was relentless when I got home to get outside, play fetch and tug-o-war. He sneaked a rawhide chew outside, and was quick to show it to me and gnaw after our games.

I needed to take a couple of "before" pictures of the gardens. The rhubarb still has not "crowned", but some perennial activity is happening. The
ground is still too hard to pull much out. Then rectangle is the vegetable garden, the nearest rock garden is my herbs, and the other is perennials, and I have a map on the wall of the garage so I can remember what is where in it.

I am about ready to head to the grocery store and get some supplies for Charlies visit. I'm thinking a small ham, garlic, sweet potatoes and salad fixin's, for starters.... waffles or pancakes, fruited grain cereal and maybe some nacho's will keep us going.

It is unfortunate that retail business is down so
dramatically. The loads coming into the store are smaller, and hours are being cut. If "things are getting better", it is not happening here yet.

The river is way up today and moving faster than I've ever seen... small ice chunks are whizzing by, and it made me think of freeway traffic.

I'll post more later with a reunion picture of my Son and Me.

Until I do, Peace and Springtime Hopes to all!
