We got home from the Special service at church and started our dinner. Ham in the oven, sweet potatoes cooking, salad dressing made, and the deviled eggs... oh, the deviled eggs. I'm using the Ulu knife and dished cutting board that I got from Katie to mince garlic and ginger to push into the ham and rub on top. The house smelled better than Grandma's as it baked, and the bread came out of the machine. We made many trips outside to play "keep away" and fetch with Scooter and his toys. Finally, with both our stomachs growling, we came in and dished up. Fabulous meal and talk.

We then went over to Chell's across the street. Chell hadn't met Charlie before and we sat in his living room and talked about golf, school and life for about an hour. Good times.
Going outside again, we played and visited with neighbors before coming in for coffee, madelines with gelato spread on them. Perfect, small, rich dessert.
All too soon though, it was time for a last cup of joe and for Charlie to head back South. I sent along ham, sweet potatoes, deviled eggs and the loaf of bread.
We had a great visit, and now it is time to get into the Chef Mode, and start thinking about the big event Thursday.
The menu is set, I'll run through the prep work and groceries in my mind until I make my list. This is going to be fun.
Happy Easter and Peace!
