Kind of like wading through a Slurpy... the snow is melting and dropping off the trees and roofs. Probably didn't have to blow off the driveways, but it was nice to be outside, and shortly after I blew out my buddy Chells, he drove off. So I'm glad I did. It was good to have a day off with no urge to be outside. Too messy for a hike, and driving was no picnic either, ridges of snow from the plows and slush puddles splashing on the windshield.
I did go to Home Depot and got switch-plates and outlet-covers for the bedroom and put them on. They had some house plants for sale and I bought a "Wandering Jew" I think and potted it. They had all bundled up in plastic wrap and fresh off the truck, others that were squeezed onto the pallets and bent. I picked up a broken off piece of one, I think it is a "Swedish Ivy" so put it into a glass to root, with a tiny bit of Miracle Grow for help. I know someone that will really like it when it grows roots and I can pot it. I stopped by the grocery store and got some unsalted butter and more eggs for my practice runs at baking Madelines too.
I got everything ready to touch up some areas of the bedroom ceiling, and found my ladder that I had hidden from myself behind the garage door. I'll do that tomorrow. I brought from upstairs a smaller TV stand to make re-arranging the living room easier too. Other than that it was just a nice day to listen to music, do some cleaning, reading and relaxing. I did drive through Kiwanis Park to see the river level and it is very high and moving quickly here. I hope it flows down before all this recent snow melts onto it... there might even be more on the way in a couple days!
Peace!
