I'm hoping my decision to keep Charlie was a good one, so far so good. My heart just could not let go after looking in his eyes Sunday morning. With apologies to Paula, I called and explained that I'd like to at least try adding him to my "crew" of critters and see how everything worked out. I think that when I'm gone bicycling,
Great meal yesterday: Oven BBQ pork ribs, baked beans, sweet and white potato casserole and tossed salad. A sweet treat was in order, so I looked in my Moms old dessert cookbook and found a fabulous old recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies and whipped up a batch. The best cookie of this kind I've ever had.
We watched a "chick flick", Forces of Nature, with Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck for a nice afternoon of Dinner and a Movie, and good talk. Church was very good with old fashioned Gospel music and a few familiar songs from the "With One Voice" book. I get misty with these songs as I remember when Katie and Charlie were young in church and we began singing these songs, new then, and the memories of them takes me back and makes me feel so connected.
It is only 35 this morning and we had a few snow flurries.... like Mondays aren't enough anyway.
I'm not sure what all I'll be inspired to do today, housework, probably not much outside, and laundry. I'll mix up some Pedigree and Beneful for the dogs and get used to having 2 dogs for sure.... anything else, I may photo and post later.
Miracles happen to those that believe in them..... Peace and More!
