I'm glad I had so much prep work done. The stream of women started at 4:00 and was fast until about 7:00. We served about 140-150+ sample plates to excited guests as they dropped their entry cards in the prize box and explored this fabulous appliance store. We showcased the warming drawer, flat top griddle grill, flat stove top and convection oven. The raves were overwhelming. The Salad Nicoise, Creamed Bean Francais and of course the Madelines with marscapone and poached fig were highlights. I believe the favorite though was the Monte Cristo Sandwich with Strawberry sour cream dip. Most wanted the recipe for this simple delight.

I am grilling a sandwich, Karin is making the crepes for the French green beans and onions in white sauce with tarragon.
A lot of familiar faces from work, the kayaking club and from past events were mixed with new.
All coming for fun, photos and the chance to win a thousand bucks in the radio broadcast drawing Friday morning.
So much fun! The "state of the art" Jennair kitchen is a delight to work in, and it is like hosting a huge party. There were hardly any

leftovers. I did bring home a small bowl of Glorified Rice though to have with toast for breakfast. After the crowd left and we were cleaning up, 2 big geese walked through the parking lot, maybe looking for a place to nest in the pool next to the store.
Tomorrow morning I work in the receiving department, and I am going to sleep well tonight after this flurry of activity.
The next event will be in July, and I am thinking maybe a Minnesota Grill Night might be the theme... I'll know when it hits me.

Nice to know I've still "got it".
Until tomorrow.... Peace!
