Fun Friday and Holiday Weekend on the way!

Good train horns this morning.... 5:30 and it was like the train was in my back yard. The atmosphere must be perfect for sound transmission, at least the horns were in harmony. Cardinals are whistling and blue jays are scolding something... Okay, I can take a hint, I'll get up!

A great late night of visiting with tea was a good ending to a day of relaxing and gardening. I did finally find some beautiful Super Fantastic tomatoes, my favorite kind to grow. I also got some cucumber plants. I was invited to a friends home to dig and thin some perennials and got phlox with tiny poppies mixed in and some flat leafy ones called Kentucky Blue Bells. I put some into my gardens and brought the rest with tomatoes, peppers and cukes to Peggy's to plant today. In looking around the neighborhood, I found some little ferns, I carefully dug a couple coffee cans full of the sprouting ferns for Peggy too, and we'll put them in around her foundation I think.
I mowed and trimmed the yard and it looks really good this morning in the rising sunlight. The rock gardens look like they've always been there, just the way I wanted. While I was gardening, I could hear the High School Band practicing for weekend events, so nice. After lunch I did some knife throwing practice, I may have to build a better target wall. I enjoy sticking bulls-eyes, and my Hibbens and Fury knives work great, I may need to touch up the points again though, close patterns sometimes get them clinking against each other. My neighbor across the way watches sometimes and I think it will only be a matter of time and he'll want to come over to try. It is a fun hobby.

Out to dinner tonight! I've not exactly decided where yet, but someplace nice and romantic for a slow meal and talk will kick off a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. The weather, while supposed to be very nice, will not affect the fun, I guarantee!

I work a short shift today, and am already anxious to be done and begin all the relaxing good things in store.

I may post more later with pictures of the fun and accomplishments of this afternoon and evening, you never know do you?

Peace and More as this Memorial Day Weekend unfolds!
