Perfect weather for fun and getting gardens planted. The sunshine felt good as we playfully putzed a while in the yard, then got tomatoes, peppers, and cucumber plants into the raised bed. Peggy planted some onions and 2 rows of green beans too. Noisy blackbirds and blue jays were fiercely scolding something in the grove on the other side of her yard, must have been a hawk or something making trouble, we never saw what it was, but a ruckus ensued. Hummingbirds were visiting the feeder and shined golden green in the sun.... We planted ferns and they had perked up and actually grown some since I had dug them and put them in water. I'm going to mow and trim Peggy's yard today and get it looking nice for when she comes home from work.
Dinner last night could not have been more lucious or fun. Bruschetta appetizer, then a 4 layer lasagna, butternut squash stuffed ravioli in a browned butter sauce and steamed baby vegetables were the main courses, but we had to have room for the fabulous dessert offerings. We split 2 sweet treats, a rich vanilla bean infused creme~brule and a decadent cannoli with toasted almonds. Candlelight and excellent service made the evening very romantic and wonderful. We were positively glowing all night long.
This is going to be an incredibly fabulous Spring and Summer of fun and growth. Romance and sharing, exploring and good times on every horizon.
I may post more later, with pictures of accomplishments and fun, maybe with pictures of what happens here on this blossoming day in Brainerd.
Peace and more!
