In the Trenches on Saturday

Perfect day for yard work. A cool 56 but mostly sunny and a breeze. I wanted to get a nice project going so measured out my new vegetable garden border. I cut through the sod and lifted it out in sections to place in a bare area by my lilacs. Then moving the rocks back into place in their new homes, I filled in the added lengths with some spares from the rock pile out front. I like the way it looks now, and the new area will allow better spacing of tomatoes, a few more pepper plants and longer green bean rows. Such optimism.

I've got some areas to put the sod I'll cut off, filling in along the southwest corner of the yard.
I set a couple big flat topped rocks out along the south fence, sumac and lilacs, to invite sitting and taking in the yard, and now having it filled in with grass will make it even more pretty.

I am not going to do the sod work today though, I've got a fun road trip tomorrow and want to get a few things done for that.....and rested.

Neighborhood kids are out playing and riding their bikes and scooters, birds are singing and everywhere I've been today, there are people fooling around in their yards.

A good nights sleep made the coffee special this morning, and my readings and meditations were extra good and timely... still a wonder how these little miracles of coincidence have been happening more frequently now.

Peace and More as our Spring Blossoms with Hope.
