Saturday was for planting and fun!

A very chilly day.... perfect for planting a while, warming up with coffee and treats, and then back to work. When it was all done, I planted over 50 day lilies. Around the trees in front, along the top of the street border garden, the coleus rings between the trees in the back and a few other places too. As soon as I got them in dirt and watered them, they perked up. This morning they are standing proud. I've still got quite a few left to plant or share too.

The party across the way was a hoot! Of course with the weather, the bonfire was the main attraction, and we ventured into the park to
gather more firewood. The burgers and salads were awesome, and the conversations and joking around the fire was a perfect Minnesota event.

It's Mothers Day, and I don't know what to expect at work for how busy it will be. I hope most Mothers are being indulged and pampered as they should be, and not out shopping. I called Paula and wished her a happy day, she always has been a very good Mother.

I made a huge breakfast of pancakes, fried eggs, toast and some fried chicken breast chunks to fuel this good day. It's got to hold me until late
this afternoon.

It is sunny and gorgeous outside this morning and I'm already looking forward to getting off at 4:00 to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Who knows?... maybe there will be something to photo and post later....

Happy Mothers Day Peace!
