As I looked over the gardens and how the rain has helped them all, I got a beautiful Baltimore Oriole to pose for a picture near the hanging grape jelly feeder. I'm looking forward to mowing yards this week with less dust after this rain. I've had to clean air filters on the mowers from all that has been raised. This will also help to lower the fire risk in the area, a very good thing. The dogs sure settle in and rest when they can't be outside because of the weather, gnawing rawhide chews and nylon bones, cats leaning on them... so content.
The rhubarb is filling and standing tall, and even with the cool temperatures, every plant is hanging in there and growing. Shrubs and the pines have new tips growing, and it is absolutely lovely everywhere we look. Even some lilacs are still blooming and fragrant.
Today will be a fun day of adventure and visiting.
Until I post again.... Peace!
