Monday, only as gloomy as we let it be

We shouldn't complain about the rain and clouds, the moisture is needed badly for all lawns and gardens... parks, trees and fire risks all benefit.
The cool temperatures are something else, it is 46 here this morning. It was warmer, sunnier and more Springlike when we went to Duluth weeks ago! Hopefully all garden plants are busy establishing good roots and getting ready to bolt when the sunshine and heat do come.

My zuchinnis are growing well, planted around a small tree in the front yard. The liatris, day lilies and ornamental grasses along with a few hostas are doing very well along the front rock garden too.
Looking very good!

Yesterday was so excellent. We went to Journey of Faith service in the old Franklin School. Great music and fellowship with a good sermon about Joseph and Mary, and even Moses following God's direction, believing and going forth doing God's will. Incredible circumstances and Faith,
relating to how we would accept such things, and how we can, in our own lives.... very good indeed!

A great road trip to southeast of St. Paul. The heavy traffic was all going the other way down and back, easy driving. I hadn't gone down old
hwy. 10 through Elk River, Anoka and to 35w for years. Many memories came to mind. Good visiting, listening to good music and fun. Deli sandwiches, wild rice soup and cotton candy ice cream for supper was just what we needed. Brown's Ice Cream really nailed the flavor of the ice cream, tastes just like a circus!

Looking forward to the coming sunshine and warm later this week as we get ready for the rummage sale. I bought a new vacuum cleaner, supposed to be extra good for pet hair, and will "test drive" it today as I get a few things ready to sell.

I've already got a loaf of hearty bread started in the machine this morning. Oatmeal, whole wheat and ground flax seed in it, such good nutrition and taste.... got to stay fueled up for these days.

Welcome the rain, get things done that might be neglected if it was fabulous outside now, and the sunshine days coming will be extra special.

Peace!
