One Sweet Ride

Well, I gone and doed it. I test rode this Specialized Sirrus Sport and was hooked. It is last years model, this year called the Elite, so I saved many bucks. 8 speed rear, 3 in front with a "granny" for hills or into strong winds. Aluminum frame with carbon fiber front fork and rear seat stays. Built into the fork and seat stays are shock absorbing inserts, and a very male friendly saddle too. It is not like other "hybrid" bikes I've riden. It seems to handle like a road bike but has the upright comfort of a trail bike... I like it. Came home and installed the rear luggage rack. My Trek 2100 road bike is for sale now.

Worked this morning in receiving, time went fast and it was fun.... already getting in a trickle of Fall merchandise, which I tried to ignore, as we seem here in Brainerd to finally be done with the April like weather and into a full blown Spring. The cool nights and mornings sure make sleeping great though. Last night was clear and the stars showing were magnificent with a little more than 1/2 Moon glowing.

Back to the bike, I also had the pedals from the Trek put onto the Sirrus so I can wear my biking shoes with lock in cleats... so efficient. I pedaled around town and back to the bike store to get a mounting part for the rack. I am now anxious to camp, bring the bicycles and be able to more leisurely enjoy the trails.... wee hoo!

A fun Friday night and weekend on the way..... bonfire with Reese's smores, kayaking, camping, biking and other fun stuff in the works. Bring on the Spring and Summer weather!

If it pertains, reread yesterdays post.

Until later.... Peace!
