Sunny start to a Tuesday and no watering needed!

Welcome surprise this morning... sunshine! I'm not certain how long it will last, but it will sure help the gardens after a day of rain and drizzle yesterday. Scooter and Charlie missed playing outdoors and are already making up for it this morning. While only in the upper 40's now, it will warm up later this week for fun and growth.

Some unneeded excitement yesterday as I did laundry and was cleaning up in the kitchen. Tanners the cat went to the basement stairs and started howling. I thought perhaps another cat was teasing him. I turned on the light and looked down, and there was water gurgling up a floor drain. Yikes! I stopped using water and used a squeegee to push the water to the drain as it slowly went down, then called Roto-Rooter. They came out in a couple hours and cut through with their snake machine all the way to the main. What a welcome sound as the slurp-whoosh took all the standing water down. A ball of fine tree roots had plugged the drain line about 40 feet from the house or so. What a relief! Fast service and it was not too expensive. I moved some boxes and stuff around to dry and this morning.... no problem!

My new vacuum, a Dirt Devil Breeze, works great.. so much suction that I think it would pull the drapes down if I got close. It was fun to watch the cup fill with cat hair and grit as I went over all floors, a real good value. I went on-line to see reviews for it and it usually gets 4-5 stars. Nice unit.

I made great pasta sauce with sausage and herbs for supper last night along with some sauteed broccoli and garlic toast. A late, cozy dinner while watching On Golden Pond was a relaxing end to a busy day of fun and problem fixing.

Today I will bring my Trek to the bike shop and talk trade for another bicycle.. I'm looking at a Specialized Sirrus Elite. A test ride and comparison will guide my decision. I will also bring an antique Schwinn for them to look at, a '31 green girls model called the "Speed" with a lightning bolt on a brass emblem in front, and sold by "Our Own Hardware". Should be a fun time.

I work a short shift on the floor today too. Later for visiting and fun... figuring out some fence location and rummage sale stuff too, along with maybe if lucky, just relaxing in the Sun.

Until next time.... Peace! may continued Honor and Respect be your guide.
