Beautiful, Fun Summer Days

Finally, I got a picture of a bluebird. They are shy, but with babies in the house, were flitting near the ground, appearing to be after moths. I stood by an evergreen and got a photo of one as it was going into the house with some bugs. I will keep trying to get a better picture, showing just how blue and pretty they are.

We've been having fun this week. Monday night we went to the courts and played tennis. The cool evening with sunshine, laughter and exercise, it was a really good time. We had yummy chicken fried rice for supper and came home from tennis for ice cream with strawberries. We watched a good romantic movie, "The Lake House" about a doctor and an architect communicating through mail, living 2 years apart. Magical and romantic, 2 thumbs up. We've been picking and sharing green beans this week too. Peggy took a big bag with some cucumbers to her daughter, and we've had some with each supper. Last night Peggy made them with a mushroom sauce to go with our chicken sandwiches.... delicious. Inspired, she made a big pan of rice krispie bars for dessert and more sharing. Awesome! Tonight, I'm in charge of supper and I am thinking of beef and pepper fajitas. It will be nice to kick back and relax after our busy day. Our yards and gardens are looking good. The recent rains have made everything grow and blossom.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and we are thinking of something special to do this coming weekend. Summer fun for sure, whatever we decide! I'm not a year "older", I'm a year "better". Oh Yeah!

A mourning dove was cooing last night outside my window at 11, I've not heard that before, it was very peaceful for deep sleep. Everything feels right, calm and Loving in Brainerd.

Peace!
