I got dive bombed and scolded yesterday afternoon by two hummingbirds. They actually have a pretty loud "peep", considering their size. They lit on the utility wires and then went to the neighbors hollyhocks. I almost captured a picture of them both hovering, but the timing of the shutter was a miss. Here is a picture of one, to the right above a blossom. I put out some grape jelly for them. They shine, metallic and bright in the Sun.
Great supper last night. Beef and pepper fajitas with black beans and rice, chopped lettuce and cheese. Healthy and delicious. Peggy's house smelled so good with the spices cooking. At the advice of my Son, Charlie, I got the movie "Bolt" from the Redbox. A funny, touching animated movie about a TV star dog that gets lost and finds out he does not have "superpowers" as he thought. We laughed and enjoyed the cute characters and story. The voice of Bolt was John Travolta. We both give it 2 thumbs up! A fabulous night.
Today I work a short shift on the floor, then will see what the weather will be like for activities the rest of the day. We'll take the left-overs and have a taco salad tonight and kick back. The weekend is almost here! Road trips and fun are in the works.... camping perhaps and other fun stuff to celebrate the Summer and Birthday.
I have been wonderfully blessed, feeling calm and strong, as I think about it being my birthday, alive with Love. There will be lots of smiles and peace today, I am a Grateful Man!
Peace!
