Kitty Company and a great weekend

Saturday was an excellent day. Shopping for groceries, odds and ends and catching up on housework and gardens during the cool day. I got a pair of court type shoes for tennis, and Peggy and I went out Saturday night and hit balls back and forth for an hour.... laughs, exercise and fun. We then went back to Peggy's and got Jezzie in her carrier to bring over and introduce to my critters. Of course Scooter and Charlie chased her a bit at first, but soon they settled in better. Jezzie has not had much exposure to dogs, and my frisky fellows are more than too willing to play and tease. Tanners and Mouse are always ready to cozy and snuggle though.

The fresh green bean dish I made with bacon and water chestnuts was delicious with the Waldorf salad and we had a strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert. All extra good after tennis and because of the wonderful cool evening, being together.

Church at Journey North was extra special with a visiting music group from Florida. A large family of musicians played and sang for a very spiritual concert service. Very inspiring with a great message.

Then came our "road trip". Perfect driving weather, coffee and snacks for the road made it nice indeed. So good to visit with family, tour gardens and share a meal. I brought a loaf of my homemade bread and a big bag of green beans. We brought Scooter and Charlie along and they ride so good in the vehicle... Charlie sleeps and Scooter watches out the windows, not missing a thing. They played in the yard when we got there and visited with the Folk's old dalmatian Princess. Just what a Summer Sunday should be.

Today we are going to hook up the bike trailer and ride the Paul Bunyan trail. The weather should be perfect for a long afternoon ride. I'll bring the camera and may take pictures of that adventure. The sun is up, there is a cool breeze and the birds are singing for a good start to the week. Lawns to mow this week and some work shifts will fill the days along with a lot of good times to share. Oh Yeah.

Peace!
