This is July?..... feels like April!

Low 50's this morning, not Summer-like at all, but sure good for sleeping and snuggling. Last night was great in many ways. A good "speaker's meeting" with lots of humor and familiarity. A landmark night too for me. After Peggy and I went out for a very nice dinner, artichoke dip, steak and shrimp.... relaxing and romantic.

Coffee tastes extra good this chilly morning as it is now misting a little outside. I'll be picking green beans like crazy today... some for a stir-fry type dish tonight with bacon and water chestnuts and some to share on our road trip after church
tomorrow. I'll also be making another classic
Waldorf salad for tonight's dinner too... healthy and delicious, I'll be thinking of a decadent dessert to offset all that for sure.

The wild flower garden is blossoming with new stuff every day now after the soaking rain. I'm not sure what all is in this garden but it sure is colorful. The front liatris border with lilies is coming along good too... looks nice along the street and I get a lot of good comments on it.

"Mouse" the cat has had a resurgence once again. Just when I think he may be failing... he is over 21 years old, he perks up, plays and climbs around
more being very cozy and hungry. Absolutely amazing. I remember getting him as a kitty and bringing him to daughter Katie in her bed while she was sleeping so long ago. How long is this guy going to last? He hasn't changed much in many years... maybe we should have named him "Eveready"?

Today is going to be a fun day. Some grocery shopping, odds and ends shopping, catching up on laundry and housework kind of day, and the weather is perfect for that. Get ready for a cozy evening of food, chat and "just being" together.

Tomorrow is predicted to be very sunny and upper 70's. It will be nice to warm up to the bones again with some sunshine and go for a long drive to visit.

We've got lots of ideas for more Summer fun and adventure. Life is SO good.

Enjoy the weekend, cool weather and all, there is no end of things to explore and accomplish. Good guidance and miracles are with us every day.

Peace!
