Summer Stuff on Friday

I got some ornamental grass picked and potted for the new box... a nice start. Now the rest is begging to be filled with petunias or something. I checked the green beans and wow, there are plenty for a meal. I'll pick some today to bring for our weekend trip.

A good nights sleep after work and visiting, I got up and went in for a shift in receiving. A lot of new Columbia fall clothing came in, making me appreciate the Summer ahead even more. Peggy and I are leaving this early evening for a weekend road trip, visiting an old high school buddy of mine and his family. Great scenery on the way,
eating and relaxing are planned for the whole time. Scooter and Charlie saw me packing a box with dog food and their things, so know they are coming along.... they are watching every move I make now. They will have fun seeing horses and exploring new territory.

No rain yesterday means garden watering today. I'll soak everything good in both yards. I'm sure there will be surprises waiting in them when we get back, the way everything is growing in the Sun.

I did get some of Peggy's rhubarb upside down cake... this picking of rhubarb was a bit more tart, and I liked it better... fabulous cake!

Snacks for the road, stuff packed, yeah, gonna be a great weekend...

Until we get back.... Peace!
