Beautiful Moon and a Beautiful Night

Waking up with rich coffee after a good deep sleep. I went out to the backyard with the dogs early this morning, the air is fresh and birds are singing "good morning". Cool enough for some hearty hot cereal with fruit in it for breakfast, today is rolling already. My stomach is growling as geese fly low over the house honking, loons yodeling down on the river. I've got a loaf of good bread started with oatmeal, cornmeal and whole wheat flour... it makes excellent nourishing toast for our starting our days.

Yesterday was a good day, catching up on stuff around the house. A sunny day, not hot, was perfect for that sort of thing. I put some foam padding in the "dog trailer", in front of the seats, so both Scooter and Charlie can lay down facing forward the way they like when we bicycle... it seems like it will work good. Potted an ivy type plant and cut a vase full of pretty flowers for Peggy....

Last night there was a perfect "gazing Moon". Clear skies and just a cool gentle breeze for looking up, enjoying the quiet and feeling the peace.

Today I work a short shift on the floor, then for some Summer fun. We may load the canoe and head out onto Rice Lake for a couple hours, see how the dogs like that! The weather looks like it will be perfect if that's what we decide to do. I've got some green beans and cukes to pick for supper too.. those plants are doing really well, we're still waiting for our tomatoes to turn red.
