Great Sunday for Relaxing

Sun came yesterday afternoon, after rain showers and clouds off and on this weekend. After our busy week, and the rummage sale, it was just nice to kick back and take it real easy. We went to Journey North Church, and they had a special music guest, the son of one of the regular musicians. He sang and played songs he had written.... excellent. A great service, message and music to start our day!

A few drizzles of rain off and on, combined with our being a bit weary from our awesome week, and we decided not to do anything major like tennis or biking.... so nice... just being together. Peggy baked 3 loaves of banana bread for snacking. Watched the Bourne Supremacy, good flick, and just hung out. I picked some beautiful tomatoes, peppers, zucchinis, and fresh herbs for a garden pasta dinner, Peggy got a couple nice little onions from her garden, and we started a pasta sauce. We cooked up some neat twisted tube type pasta as the sauce simmered and made the kitchen smell sooo good. A great dinner, couldn't have been any fresher and we felt recharged. The sky cleared so nice in the evening, that we went for a long walk. When the breeze blew, it was a great, when it stopped, the skeeters came out of nowhere and made for some comical moments of slapping, even in open areas, they appeared and attacked! We deserved a treat and made ice cream sundaes for a late dessert.... Summertime treats, and it was fun to watch Peggy count out and divvy up the dough from the big sale!

Here is the start of another week in Brainerd..... some work, lots of good times, tennis and other fun stuff. We're looking forward to another good road trip next weekend too! I'll be picking a vase of flowers and make a good supper for us tonight, mow the back yard and pick green beans when I get home from work too... Life's simple pleasures are the best!

Life and Love are Blessed, and there is the State Fair and lots more Summer to enjoy!

Peace!
