We didn't realize 'til this mornings readings that it was Friday the 13th. This has been such a wonderful, lucky and blessed week, that there is no superstition today at all.
Wednesday nights "dance lessons" were fabulous. We practiced what we had learned last week, then went into an "underarm turn" and an "underarm spin" move. Such a lot of fun! The time went too quickly as we all danced around on the floor and practiced corners and our moves.... romantic and great.
Work this week has been busy, always lots to do, but we had lots of time for relaxing too. We took the dogs for long walks in the evenings and got plenty of fresh air. I made a great chicken and brown rice dish for supper that really hit the spot... delicious and healthy. Last night though, we ordered a pizza and just kicked back. Nice to take some time to just relax, we've been working at the "old place" cleaning, and this morning did some finishing painting. The place is really clearing out. Warmer temps outside helped us feel really cheerful, and it seems no matter what we do together we make it fun.
I've got rye bread baking, smells so yeasty and good, with cornmeal and oatmeal. Gotta have good toast and peanut butter with our coffee in the mornings. Laundry and a few other chores today, getting ready for the weekend. Simple pleasures, today I may go and buy some good socks. We've been wearing them out with all our activities, and I've decided enough is enough on some of the old pairs.... real simple pleasures, my feet are hooked on the "Smartwool" brand.... if feet are happy, everything goes better it seems.
This should be a nice weekend, sorting through stuff, arranging, church on Sunday, football, some travel and shopping perhaps to round it all up... Oh yeah!
Life and Love are truly blessed this Autumn as the Holiday Season approaches... it all just feels so right!
