Great Winter Weekend

mmmMMM..... the food was fantastic. The Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pie, the Chocolate Fudge Custard Pie and the Apple Filled Cinnamon Crumb Cake were great deserts for the feast. Roast beef, turkey, dressing, lefse and a spinach salad rounded out the meal. Good times with family and friends. The drive was good too, feathery snow and not much traffic made the trip awesome.

The cold is here, funny how the 20's don't feel as bad as they did in October! I made Pasta Carbonara for supper tonight and have a loaf of bread baking. Nice to cozy in after a busy day at work. It is about time to hang up some Christmas lights and get the place looking more festive. Every day there are more lights twinkling in the neighborhood, it's time to catch up some on that.

Yesterday was son Charlie's 22nd birthday!.... yikes, how can that be?... I'm certain he had a wonderful day, even if the Vikings lost.

Maybe some snow on the way, Brainerd appears, so far, to be on the northern edge of an approaching Winter weather front.... we'll know when it gets here. At least the snow blower is all tuned up and ready for action, if the need arises. Hoo Boy!

This should be another fun week, dance lessons Wednesday night, some work, some play, lots of fun. Already looking forward to the coming weekend to have fun decorating and bake some cookies. I'm hungry for molasses crinkles.

So much Holiday Cheer already in the air here, Life and Love are truly blessed!

Peace!
