Merry Christmas.. and a White One!

Ho Ho Ho.... Snow Snow Snow!...

After hiking in the Arboretum, Peggy and I had to have our picture taken with the Santa, Mrs. Claus wall. Too cute!

We've had about 3 or more waves of Winter snow blasts. Christmas Eve late candlelight service was cancelled because of the weather, so we were glad we went to the 4:30 candlelight Christmas Eve Church service... great carols, message and special music groups made it all extra great.

We made a nice platter of treats for Christmas Eve celebrating.... Lingonberry Herring, cheese, BBQ smoked beef sausages and more... we watched "The Polar Express" and felt like kids.

Keeping an eye on the weather, the snow slowly accumulated and made everything beautiful.

Crackers, cookies, truffles and more were nibbled all night long.

Yesterday, we just snuggled in, celebrated Christmas, opened gifts and had a wonderful time. Peggy warmed up with some homemade chicken rice soup and I went out and blew off the new snow from the driveway and back yard dog paths.... the snow was getting wetter and stickier.

After the 2nd blast, we figured about 10 inches had fallen, then settled. The predicted strong winds never came. Late in the afternoon, we bundled up and went for a neighborhood Christmas hike. The streets had not been plowed, so it was a fun walk... hardly anybody was out. The fresh air was wonderful as we "burned off" our treat indulgences. We made a silly snowman type sculpture in the front when we got back. We may fancy it up some, and take a picture of it.

These are the paths in the back for Scooter and Charlie to run and potty. They love it!

2:30 in the afternoon, and it is STILL SNOWING!
Accumulating powder is drifting straight down, the roads are getting pretty full, many side streets are not plowed yet.... I'll have to use the snow blower again. A Winter Wonderland.

We hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas, togetherness, family, good food and great times.

The carols, the cards, the food and everything was perfect this year... Christmastime Life and Love are Fantastic!
