More Holiday Fun and Cheer!

A fun, busy week of work and Holiday Stuff!

Decorating the house, eating well and good relaxation all came together this week. The weather has "lightened up" a bit, so travel and being outside has not been as brutal.... excellent.

Yesterday was so much fun! We got up and ready for a road trip to make Christmas cookies and candies. I started a big batch of Chocolate Truffles and spread the filling in a pan to cool and temper on our trip. When we got there, Peggy began making Holiday Marshmallow Wreaths as
I rolled the truffle balls to dip in the chocolate
coating. Puppy chow to munch, good times, and a nice batch of tasty delights to share!

The truffles are decadently rich and wonderful, and everything turned out great.

We had to pose for a picture in front of the Christmas tree after cleaning up a bit from the kitchen fun. We played around, took pictures, looked at picture albums and had a great time in Grand Rapids.

After having so many sweet treats, we were hungry on the way home for something salty and a bit more substantial. We've been meaning to try the Italian restaurant in Aikin and figured this was the perfect time. Aikin was celebrating their Holiday Night of shopping, all the stores downtown were open late, special deals, music and lots of great light displays. We ordered the Rosallini's Special Pizza, and it was absolutely fantastic..... loaded with meats and vegies on a crisp crust and done to perfection... even their coffee was
very good.

This baby went down!.... ate the whole thing!

Full and happy, we continued our Winter drive back to Brainerd. A fun full day of Holiday Cheer.

Work today, then the weekend off to do more fun stuff. I may make another batch of truffles to share with family and friends, cookies and perhaps some Christmas shopping will happen.

Tomorrow, I'm going to make Scottish Oat Pancakes for an early supper, then we are going to Paul Bunyan Land for their Christmas Celebration of lights and decorations in the restored old village display.... We are feeling so full of the Spirit, celebrating and being grateful for all the Blessings in our Love and Lives!

Peace!
