Phall Fenomenon

It is still Summer here in Brainerd, but there are some Fall-like things happening.

Peggy is standing behind the fence and one side of our Passion Flower Vine. Now established, it is opening many beautiful blossoms every day...

Cucumber vines are browning, tomato plants are wilting, but they continue to make fruits...

Pepper plants?... well, not much to post about those.... a couple jalapenos on the way and we've had one really nice big green pepper, a few coming later... overall, a bad pepper year here.

Our butternut squash vine is going nutz! Late but better than nuttin'

This is one of about 12-15 squashies growing on the vine.. still blossoming and sprawling... a very cool plant.

This picture was taken yesterday afternoon... hard to count all the blossoms that opened... the vine is thick, grabbing and climbing all over the fence and LOADED with buds!

Other Phun Phall Fenomenon we've experienced: Peggy noticed the other evening, a neighbors big treetop was filled with goldfinch, a couple dozen little yellow birds chirping and flitting around. Neighborhood squirrels are busy stashing. One big multi-colored squirrel is driving Scooter and Charlie crazy tightrope walking the power lines carrying big walnuts... back and forth, over and over... what does he know? We have had lots of geese flying very low over our house too... honking and yodeling. Robins are MIA, gathering somewhere else we assume.

Peggy and I refuse to give up on our Summer. We're gardening, motorcycling, hiking around and enjoying the Suns rays when we can.... lots of good Summer weather still to come here in Brainerd... oh yeah!

With the feel of changing seasons, our Blessings become even more apparent to us in Life and Love...

Peace
