In the gutter with Scooter, we hit the 40's!

Remember the ice dam?... it was so nice outside today that we were using any excuse to get out and enjoy the day. I climbed the ladder and cleared the gutter entirely of ice chunks.... what a relief. Scooter ran back and forth in the sunshine and was smiling. I brought his "Squeeky Ball" out and we played fetch and tug-o-war. He was so glad to be in his element and playing, he barked, jumped and ran like he was full of joy.

I had nice company this morning for coffee and we talked and shared a lot of experiences. Nice surprise to just have a buddy stop over.
And THEN... Russ is on his way up!... he'll stay until Tuesday. We'll get ready, BBQ some ribs and I've got beans soaking for baked beans with side pork and molasses for Super Bowl.

And THEN... Katie is going to visit. She will call tomorrow and give me a time to drive to Cambridge to pick her up.
She is visiting an old friend of mine in Rice Lake Wisconsin until tomorrow mid morning, then I'll meet her half way to Brainerd and pick her up. Her boyfriend will then continue back to SW MN.

This is going to be a great time.... lots of good tea,
good food, good talk and good times. I'm brewing some Red Rooibos tea now, nice and strong to have iced tomorrow. It should be excellent with the "game food".

I've got church early tomorrow morning and then back to have fun with Russ until we drive to get
Katie.
