Yippee, warmed up to zero here

Here is a fun project. Durapaws gladly replaced the boots that I bought for Scooter. It does look like there is a bit thicker padding, not much, but it may help. I took Scooter for a couple drives today. One was to Wal-Mart to get baby socks. These are the smallest I could find. I'm going to carefully cut the foot part off and hopefully leave the sleeve portion intact and not able to fray. I'll slide the sleeve part onto his ankles before putting on the boots to see if that will keep him from chapping when I snug the velcro straps enough so the boots won't slide off when we hike.
He wore his jacket on the rides and everytime he went potty. It is dangerously cold outside.

When I get off the couch to get coffee or something, the critters don't even move. It looks like we are going to be hibernating for 2 more days, then the warm returns, if the 20's is warm.
At least we can go for walks, and I'll have time to work on Scooters sock sleeves. I'll plug the van in tonight so it will start easier for church tomorrow at 8:15. I had the leftover Ceasar salad for lunch with toast and am having a nice burger and fixings for supper. I feel so bad for Scooter when it gets this visciously cold, I wish there was an auditorium or indoor field I could bring him to and play fetch.
Tomorrow, with no football game, I may ask a buddy over to have snacks and watch a silly movie or something. Some dusting and vacuuming are in order too, four animals do shed a bit and there are dust bunnies hiding.

I'll post tomorrow with pictures of a frigid Sunday here in Brainerd... at least you don't have to shovel or blow cold.... Peace!
