I went and got another gallon of Divine Pleasures White for the bedroom. Scooter came along, rode in the cart and made friends with some Home Depot employees. I finished the first coat (I'm going to put on a second coat, top to bottom) just in time to vacuum, dust and wipe down the bathroom before starting supper. It is so bright and nice in the bedroom now, the smell is almost gone now for bedtime. The second coat will be even better, especially around the edges, will roll on easier and make it more washable, if it needs.
Mark showed up right on time with 2 big rib
steaks and lots of salad stuff. I made Potatoes O-Brian and a Lemon Vinagraitte dressing for the salad. I rubbed the steaks with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and grilled them in a big cast iron pan while I finished the salad and crispied up the potatoes. What a feast! I made Timor coffee to go with it and the conversation lasted over dinner for 4 hours. We waited a while and then had Pecan Pie topped with Chocolate Gelato. Whew,heavy. Mark just left, and I thought I better blog now, I've got to be to work at 8:30 in the morning. We had a grand time, and will do it again soon.
A good, busy day with still some time for reading, meditating and journalling.
