Patching done and an Icy Storm on the way!

This afternoon I finished patching all the holes in the bedroom walls, and there were lots. Over the years people have nailed, drilled and put in inserts, and improperly screwed into the heavy, concrete like plaster. Next is sanding, then washing with TSP.

Geesh, just getting used to warmer weather, then out of nowhere, we are in a major storm alert. Monday morning through Tuesday morning, there could be lots and lots of freezing rain. This is a strongly worded alert, I've never read the recommendation that everyone stock up on food and water and prepare for long periods of power outage. Travel could become impossible. This sure has been a wild winter so far. I've got an appointment Monday at 3 and another at 4, and work at 8:30 Tuesday morning. I hope that I will be able to drive. The alert made it seem like we are going to get hit very hard. I really hope the weather service is mistaken on this one.

My friend could not make it over tonight for "Tea and a Movie". He helped with moving his girlfriend, lots of stairs and stuff and is exhausted. We'll have to make up for it soon. Scooter and I went for a real long walk this afternoon in the calm 28 degree sunshine. We walked our normal route, then along the Mississippi and Kiwanis Park. He again didn't wear his boots and did fine, and I washed off his paws when we got home. He is such a good patient dog, and just lets me do anything. A while after we got home, it looked like there was going to be a beautiful sunset for me to photograph. We rode down the hill to the water-works lot and got ready. Just as the sun was setting a big batch of dark clouds blew in the way, and no beautiful sunset. Pretty, depending on your frame of mind, but not "picture worthy". We'll have an early bedtime tonight, I've got Church at 8:15.

Tomorrow I'll find something good to photo and post.
Until then.. Peace!
