It's Friday with Ice Pellets falling and Cozy Pets

I can hear them falling, clicking in the gutters and on the windows.... icy pellets and a little snow. There is a finch convention under the feeders. Chickadees and nuthatches are waiting their turn at the suet and safflower seeds. Pretty cool. Scooter thinks he's me this morning, laying in bed as I do, even with his head on my pillow. The new development is the "Mellowing of Tidbit". She now sleeps in bed with us and even snuggles next to Scooter. I never thought I'd see the day. Perhaps it is because I am so careful to never let Tidbit get outside... she may be getting more domesticated?" Maybe it is because there is a new
"Female Presence" in the home?

This week has gone by really quickly. The days, lost upstairs, packing stuff, may have something to do with that. Not a fun job. I am glad that I can pray and not feel deeply personal about what I am doing. A couple months ago, this would have been so sad that I would have had anxiety and depression over it, and it did when I tried. God has removed that from me, and given me peace to deal with it all.

The van is still at the shop. A couple years ago, I had the alternator replaced. At that time, the mechanic that I trusted, (he'd worked on the van since it was brand new) did not replace all the bolts in the bracket that holds the alternator. Over time, stress and torque bent the loosening bracket until the belt path was out of alignment. That will cost me an additional $90 plus labor to the belt job.... yuck. They will call when it is done. Thankfully, Peggy is letting me use her new Toyota Corolla. I brought her to work this morning at 5:20 and will pick her up at 4. Very cool. I'm going to make us a special supper for tonight, I'm leaning towards Jamaican Beans and Rice.. but we'll see. I am a Happy Boy!

Today, I think I'll get things done, take some pictures and post later with good stuff.

Until I do, enjoy with Peace, the first day of Spring!

In Jamacia they call beans and rice,"peas and rice", for reasons unknown, but thats whar they call them non-the-less, in case you wanted to appear the seasoned traveler.
