Madelines Baked and a few fun things

I folded the batter together and let it chill for 1 1/2 hours. Then after prepping the pans, baked them at 375 for 12 1/2 minutes. They smelled fantastic as they neared being done. I will try and find another recipe to test though, these are just a little spongier than I remember, and was looking for a more crispy version. Oh well, as I wrote before, we can eat all mistakes. They should be dusted with powdered sugar just before serving and are delicious.

Scooter and I went for a real long hike, and the river is down a little and moving very fast.
It is obvious that the dams and gates are open
wide downstream to help the level go down. I am warming up with some hot green tea.

We went for a little car ride and at the recommendation of the vet clinic, got Scooter a toothbrush and "doggy paste". I will begin by just getting him more used to my fingers in his mouth, massaging his gums and rubbing his teeth a couple days. Then I introduce him to the taste of the paste and see how that goes. Finally, using the "fingertip brush" I will try to brush and clean his teeth. They are pretty white and look very healthy, but a slight build-up of tartar is a sign that this process should begin.

Tomorrow we will go to the 10:30 church service and be installed as new members. A little ceremony during the service, and we'll get carnations. Then after, a welcoming brunch in the social hall. Really looking forward to it and after.

Other than some cleaning, laundry and putzing, this is about it for today. I'll see what this night brings for opportunities..........

Peace!
