Rakin' in the wind, Rakin' in the wind.... makin' the same mistakes we swore we'ld never make again

Oh well, an old Commander Cody song came to mind, only it was doing something else in the wind. I got most of the volunteer and sucker shoots clipped out of the little border gardens. Then I raked them out and tossed everything over the fence and into the backyard. The wind was not helpful at all. It may be much more calm tomorrow, and I'll burn it in my fire ring pit.

I put the charged battery in the Suzuki, and it popped right off and seems to run better than new. I needed a new license tab for it and went to the bureau to pick it up.... $16.25. The only thing I don't understand is that for motorcycles, the
tabs need to be for the next year, not the current one, so I've got a 10 sticker on. Eliminates confusion somewhere, I'm just not sure where.

A new Rat Terrier is on the way. A friend at the bank got one after seeing Scooter, and fell in love. It is from what I understand, very similarly marked and about 2 years old. Named Charlie of all things, same as my Son. Anyway, this friend has a new baby and with everything going on, needs to find a new home for his puppy. I'm going to take it and then give it to ex-wife and friend Paula. It will be a good buddy for Kirby, the Rat she has now. Always something for
excitement going on.

I think I'm going to have a good snack and take the ol' Suzy out for a spin. Amazing that I've had this baby since new in '79. It fits like a glove.
Come to think of it, it's probably about the only thing I've had since '79.

I may post more later, especially if I get Charlie this evening.

Until I do.... Peace, wow do we need Peace!
