Repaired van adds to Wednesdays Wonders

Okay, it wasn't cheap, but the van is fixed and runs like a top! I was right in that it seemed that the engine was not getting gas. The fuel pump went out, and inspection revealed a deteriorated "fuel sending unit". Pulling the gas tank for the repair, of course made matters a little worse. All the sand and goo that gets thrown up on top of the tank area made the holding straps brittle and the bolts difficult. But... it could have been worse. I also had the mechanic repair the drivers side door, no more acrobatics upon entry... I will miss that a bit.

I baked in cast iron, another loaf of banana bread yesterday too. The house smells so good as it bakes, and I had a big crust end soon after it came out of the oven all toasty and warm from baking in that old style pan. The crust and texture gets extra good from the cast iron pan. Simple pleasures, like that and having bunches of lilac blossoms in the house.... nothing better.

My meeting last night was great with a larger than usual crowd. Near the end, our Grapevine Magazine rep. uncovered the new issue. It was an "Oh My Gosh!" moment. On the cover it says "Finding Balance". Remembering to "find balance" was the motivation for my last tattoo, symbolized by Yin Yang and Scrolling. THEN in addition to that, is a hand placing a top stone on a stack. The stones are exactly like the ones gathered at Lake Superior on our wonderful mini-vacation a couple weeks ago. These are coincidences that add so much to our lives as the Promises come true. They happen for a reason, and are happening more and more.

Today it will be much warmer and sunny! We will go for a nice ride on the Suzuki later and breathe the blossom scented air and enjoy the newness of Spring Life. Another weekend is almost here, this week has gone quickly with so many good times.

I'll try to get a picture of an oriole eating grape jelly today to post.. they really are the brightest orange and beautiful. The gardens will grow in the sunshine today and it will feel good to be outside.

Until I do.... Peace! may Honor and Respect guide your life!
