Cool weather and good fun filled our Tuesday. Yards and gardens looking great!... the flowering plants, grasses and vegetables are all growing fabulously. We went for an early lunch back at the Crossroads Cafe and had excellent baked turkey sandwiches with sprouts, then went across to the Gallery to get some incense, always a fun store to explore. My house for some coffee and fun with the dogs and listen to music. I showed Peggy the new bamboo wind-chime I had hung up in an evergreen in the back yard as an Orchard Oriole ate grape jelly from the hanging feeder I had just put in the herb garden, then the new curtains I had bought and hung in the bedroom.... so nice. Then something mysterious happened... my van would not start, just like it had no gas. It turns over well, but will not fire. That is the first time that has happened since it was new. Good old buddy Chell saw that we had a problem and offered to give us a ride to pick up Peggy's car and get us back on track. What a great neighbor! Now the van sits in my driveway. I'll have to go to the shop and arrange for repairs, and since it is all wheel drive, it will have to be carted, not towed to the shop.... yeesh! I may look for a different vehicle today, get the van running and trade for something else, I think maybe this is a sign that it will start "nickel-and-diming" me. We'll see, maybe I'll get lucky.
Later in the afternoon, we went shopping at Wal-Mart and Fleet, getting tomato cages for Peggy's plants and some zuchinnis for her garden too... and some all natural blueberry-pomegranate ice cream for later, yummy.
After planting, putting the cages around the tomatoes and just admiring all our work, we had a simple supper and watched "The Passion", the very emotional and inspiring movie depicting the last 12 hours of Jesus Christ's life on Earth. Subtitled, but that was not a distraction. Very inspirational, it was good closure to the Easter season and helped us feel and find some more meaning to the Easter Bible messages. What it is all about, so to speak, as we grow together in our spirituality and understanding how we have been saved. So tearful and deep, I'm glad we watched it together the way we did.
Off soon to the auto repair shop to discuss options, hoping for the best, then a day of catching up on some household chores.... what will the day and evening bring?
I might post later if there is exciting news, or developments.... until I do,
May Peace and Respect guide your day!
