As Promised, Beautiful Mowed Lawn and Sunning Doggies

A hot, steamy and sunny day to mow lawns yesterday.. it was fantastic. The sun dried the grass well and the mowing went pretty fast. I went over and took down the fencing we had put up for her daughters dogs and got the yard picked up for mowing. It took a lot of cold water to stay hydrated, but it turned out so pretty and good... a masterpiece of a yard. Scooter and Charlie sit in the back doorway and watch me mow the yard here, anxious to get out into the sunshine and play fetch and tug-o-war. They were panting some by the end of play and then laid in the shade, content.

Now for the Sea Gull.... after work, we wanted to
enjoy the cooling breeze and eat outside. We went to the salad buffet at Cub and got loaded up for a picnic. A big Lions Club sponsored park in Baxter was a fun place for sitting, talking and eating. We played the electronic game "20 questions" and joked around as we ate. Imagine the theme song from "Jaws" as this lone Gull came to see what we were eating. Irresistible, and with intense eyes, it was a very pretty bird. I threw little pieces of garlic crisps and a few small chunks of grilled chicken and it gobbled them right down, but it did not like ripe olives. After our meal we strolled around the very clean park and enjoyed the cooling air.... so nice.
Home for an ice cream dessert and more fun visiting.... again a perfect Spring evening.

Today I'll go grocery shopping, walk the doggies and maybe go for a nice bicycle ride.. feeling kind of caught up on some work around our homes. I'm going to make Sweetie a nice supper for when she gets off work, I haven't decided what yet, but I'll make it extra special for certain. Nice phone calls yesterday too with brother Dan and son Charlie.. it will be exciting to find out about his new job at the "Landmark Bistro" in Marshall. Katie is settling back into the Alaskan lifestyle, long days and plenty to do with schoolwork, planning her teaching and new buffalo pets. Always something good in life!

Life and Love is Good!... especially this perfect time of year here in Brainerd.

Until later.... Be Respectful and Peace!
